How To Start Eviction in Ohio

leave a comment

The eviction process can only be initiated if the tenant has violated one or more terms in the lease contract. Among others, it is the failure to pay the rent that gets the most attention these days, prompting many landlords to file unlawful detainer actions in the local court. During the eviction process, the lease contract will support any claims of breach filed by the landlord. How should I evict a tenant?

leave a comment

I need to know how evicting a tenant goes? I live in New York and I own a house. For a couple of months now, I let a friend stay with me but I now see the need for him to leave. Problem is he won’t leave. He does pay the cable but no rent. Should I just email him an eviction notice that he should leave in 30 days?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks.

Video on How to Evict a Tenant for Not Paying Condo Dues

Eviction Question: Partial Payment Sent

I’ve been told that you can’t be evicted if you pay even half of the due. Is this true? Have you been on a similar situation? Mom already sent half of our rent today and the other half tomorrow afternoon. The eviction court is scheduled at 8:30am and we won’t have that money later on that day. We live in Colorado and we’re totally helpless about this. Anyone?
